Some of this weeks florals

For the watercoloured florals I've used Windsor & Newton's watercolour paints with Derwent's Inktense pastels which work great together. The Inktense Pastels are my new discovery. They are watercolour pastels which you can use in a few different ways. I like to draw with them and then paint water over to soften, you can also paint water onto paper first and draw over which is also a nice effect as the pastel bleeds into the water. You can also shave off specks of the pastel onto your paper and then paint over for a more intense watercolour look.
I also use tippex for highlights

And with these paintings I created these too........powder pastel florals

Yesterday's view

Polish Inspiration

Here are some snaps from a winter break to Warsaw and Zdory
Also I came across Wycinanki - the Polish art of paper cutting. Here's a video complete with cheesy music of some examples.

I must do a collection with these sweet folk motifs from Poland. A fun & colourful collection!
